Trump flag flying military convoy belonged to Navy SEAL unit

A Navy official confirmed that the military convoy with a Trump flag seen near Louisville over the weekend does, in fact, belong to the Navy and was not a group of military surplus vehicles as originally suggested.

“The convoy were service members assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit driving vehicles while transiting between two training locations,” Lieutenant Jacqui Maxwell, a spokesperson for Naval Special Warfare Group 2, told ABC News.

Maxwell confirmed that the Trump flag was not authorized and unauthorized flags are not permitted on military vehicles. Maxwell also said an investigation has been launched to determine possible misconduct and, if so, “the appropriate administrative or disciplinary action” will be determined.
