Major outdoor retailer Gander Mountain will add Slovakian-made Grand Power pistols to its inventory this year, the company announced Thursday.

Grand Power’s polymer pistols have already started infiltrating Gander Mountain’s website and stores with the K100 model already up for grabs; but there’s no word on how many models will eventually be offered.

Distributor Eagle Imports said they are excited about the partnership with Gander and the growth opportunities ahead.

“We are very proud to have the Grand Power brand represented in the Gander Mountain stores across the country,” Michael Sodini, president of Eagle Imports, Inc. said in a statement. “Grand Powers are extremely well engineered and their reputation in the US continues to grow. We are confident that Gander Mountain will be instrumental in helping more Americans discover the amazing attributes of this pistol line.”

The semi-automatic guns provide accurate groups on target due to their unique locking system, according to the company. The system features a rotating barrel that, unlike traditional pistols, doesn’t tilt up. This design reduces felt recoil and helps keep the muzzle on target for follow-up shots. Additionally, the ambidextrous pistols are said to have passed a 20,000 round torture test with no failures to feed.

The company was founded in 2002 by CEO and owner Jaroslav Kuracina and currently offers a dozen semi-automatic pistol models.

The K100 is the first to make the jump online at Gander Mountain and retails for $549.
