Knife-wielding rape suspect fatally shot by Tulsa cops (VIDEO)

WARNING: The following video contains images some may find disturbing.

The Tulsa Police Department released dash cam footage Monday showing the encounter between officers and a man suspected of rape and other offenses, who was shot and killed during the altercation.

Authorities were led on a pursuit by David English on February 17, but as the chase came to an end, English, who was armed with a knife, stopped, exited his vehicle and came toward the officers as he ignored commands to stop and drop his weapon.

Three officers fired at English, striking him multiple times. English was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

English was accused of kidnapping his girlfriend, tying her up and holding her against her will for several weeks, during which time he beat, tortured and sexually assaulted her.

The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave while the shooting investigation is underway.
