Notorious pistol company Hi-Point is offering home defenders a unique security package combining a Hi-Point handgun with safe storage.

The Home Security Pack comes with a Hi-Point pistol nestled in the company’s heavy-duty, edge overlapping, pry-resistant 18-gauge steel box. The box measures 11.5 x 8.5 x 1.5-inches and features one-half-inch memory foam liner with matching numbered keys. The lockbox also comes with a 1,500 pound tested, 40-inch rubber coated steel cable to secure the box to a sturdier object such as a vehicle seat while storing in the car.

The lockbox boasts pre-drilled mounting holes for permanent surface attachment and meets the Transportation Administrations airline firearm transportation guidelines.

“As we all know, some firearm accidents can be avoided by safe storage, and some states have safe storage laws (especially when traveling),” the company said in a statement. “Hi-Point is leading the way with its introduction of this very affordable safety/security combo.”

Alongside the lockbox, comes the shooter’s choice of .380 ACP, 9mm, .40 S&W or .45 ACP chambered Hi-Point handgun.

Known more for its cheap price point than reliability, the Hi-Point Security package certainly doesn’t disappoint when it comes to cost with kits starting at $199 and topping out at $235.

Shooters needing to save some bucks can check out the Home Security Pack online from Hi-Point.
