Hogue Inc. launched the latest in its iteration of tactical inspired accessories with the polymer 15-degree vertical grip for AR-15/M16 builds.

The vertical grip was precisely designed to offer tactical rifle enthusiasts a natural grasp. Compared to the standard 30-degree angle grips, the 15-degree angle offers an innate hand position while in close quarter combat.

Made from durable lightweight polymer the grip features a hollow center for maximum weight efficiency, measuring only 1.5 ounces. The surface utilizes Hogue’s Cobblestone texture giving the area a non-slip, non-irritating stippling pattern. The grip incorporates a recessed dish behind the trigger which elevates comfort and creates a smoother transition for the finger to the trigger. Clearance was also added to the top of the grip allowing for an upper receiver tensioning screw.

Grip designer and Hogue co-owner Jim Bruhns said though the target audience is military users, the grip can be used by any rifle shooter looking to add comfort to their build.

“When designing this product, ergonomics was the number one priority; it simply had to feel right. And of course, aesthetics was also a main concern; it had to look good too,” said Bruhns. “It’s for military, for custom builders, for anyone really! It simply feels comfortable for guys who just want to shoot.”

The grip is designed to fit any firearm that uses standard AR-15/M16 grips. Available in black, OD green and flat dark earth the grips retail for $19.95.
