A Trump rally turned violent Saturday afternoon after pro-Trump and anti-Trump protesters clashed in Huntington Beach, California.
The rally was attended by about 2,000 Trump supporters who were met with opposition from about 40 anti-Trump protesters, some from the Socialist Party USA. Many protesters wore masks and said they feared for their safety.
Some of the violence, which reportedly came from both sides, was caught on video, including one woman who was punched in the face and another woman who was doused with pepper spray.
After the melee, six people were detained, although only three were arrested, and one person sought medical attention for a minor injury.
Despite the brief episode of violence, camera crews caught some Trump supporters and Trump protesters having civil conversations and open dialogue.
