Former Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz recently traveled to military bases all over the world to work with servicemen and show them how to fight UFC-style.
Cruz said he had to avoid social media and couldn’t share his experiences until after the fact, but called getting the chance to work with the soldiers “awesome” and an “absolute pleasure.” He said part of his mission was to “do a little demo, put on a show, take them away from where they’re at for at least an hour.”
Cruz doted on the servicemen, the sacrifices they make for the country as a whole, and the work they do each and every day.
“I went out there like a clown to put on a show for them for one day,” laughed Cruz, who had the chance to spar with a four-star general.
