Virginia man arrested after loaded, unsecured guns found within reach of kids

A Virginia man was arrested Saturday after police found loaded firearms and ammunition unsecured and within reach of a 2-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy.

WJLA reported 31-year-old Joshua Edward Jeffrey, of Woodbridge, Virginia, was allegedly waving a rifle outside his home and looked intoxicated. Witnesses reported the incident to the police.

After they arrived, police officers found the unsecured guns and ammunition in Jeffrey’s home and then arrested him.

According to Prince William County Police, Jeffrey has been charged with one count of reckless handling of a firearm and two counts of child endangerment.
