Marlin brought a number of new Custom Shop offerings to Atlanta last week but one cowboy gun, in particular, stood out from the crowd.
The Custom Shop has long been around to cater to individual demands to include a choice of caliber, barrel type, trigger pull weight, wood finish, engravings, and inlays and they grabbed some of the new variants to bring to the 146th National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits at the Georgia World Congress Center.
A more standard 336 CS offering compared to the Extra Fancy Colored Case
One of the neatest was the Extra Fancy Color Case Model 336. The rifle, available in .30-30 or .35 Rem, has been completely deborn and deburred then given a high-grade stock with a hand rubbed and checkered oil finish to complement the case coloring. Cost from the shop is $3,795.
Other models on hand from the shop included the 1895 Modern Hunter, which features an XS rail, big loop handle, laminate painted stock and cerekote in a color of the customer’s choice for $1,995.
Sako’s Tikka T3X offers incredible precision at a great price. This highly customizable rifle easily reached out to 1,000 yards in our testing, and it’s a great precision shooter straight from the factory.
The new Burris Signature HD in 2-10x40 is a great optic for hunters looking for a lower power scope with quality glass and a wide field of view for hunting anything from dangerous game to backwoods deer.
