Prices are falling at Colt, with the company launching new MSRPs for its flagship modular rifle series, the LE6920, and the Defender 1911 lineup.

The LE6290 will now carry a price tag of $999, while the blued Defender models will drop to $899.

“This is a really great time to get into the most relied-upon modern sporting rifles available today,” Paul Spitale, SVP at Colt, said in a statement. “For folks who’ve been waiting for the right time to get into a Colt, this is now a really special moment. Now that every version of the Colt Defender carries the same great price of $899, either the stainless model or the blued model with night sights – we’re offering great concealed carry options at a great price.”

The LE6290 is the standard civilian version of the M4. Featuring a 16.1-inch chrome lined barrel with 1-in-7-inch twist, the 5.56 chambered rifle teams up with Magpul to offer a tricked out long gun. Models include either black or flat dark earth with Magpul MOE SL handguard, MOE SL carbine stock, MOE SL pistol grip, MOE vertigal grip and Magpul Back-up Sight.

The Defender is offered in two models — a stainless Cerakote aluminum frame with stainless steel slide and a black Cerakote and blued steel slide. The stainless steel version is chambered in the venerable .45 ACP round, while the blued version offers both .45 ACP and 9mm. All models feature Novak sights and a Colt Upswept Beavertail Grip Safety.

The new pricing is already featured on Colt’s website for easy ordering.
