InfoWars given White House press pass

The alternative media website InfoWars, known for propagating conspiracy theories, including Sandy Hook shooting denials, was given a White House press pass Monday.
The website announced its receipt of the press credentials on Monday as an “epic blow to the mainstream media’s control of the narrative” and indicated reporter Jerome Corsi would now be attending White House press briefings.
CNN reported the press pass given to Corsi looked to be a temporary one, but that did not assuage the outrage some felt regarding the matter.
Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., took to Twitter and blasted President Donald Trump for granting the website access.
Among other conspiracy theories, InfoWars host Alex Jones has alleged the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, in which 20 first graders and six school employees were shot and killed by a 20-year-old gunman in Newtown, Connecticut, was not real and was instead a hoax staged with paid actors posing as the victims.
During a recent pre-trial conference, Jones was described by his attorney as a “performance artist” and that he should not be judged by the conspiracy theories his on-air persona propagates.
