The really big and really odd Danuvia Kiraly 43M submachine gun (VIDEO)

Ian with Forgotten Weapons visited the Institute of Military Technology to get his hands on a rarely encountered WWII era Hungarian SMG.

Designed by Pal Kiraly, the Hungarian engineer who crafted a number of odd 1930s Sig burp guns that are still in the arsenal of the Swiss Guard today, as well as the Cristobal carbine for the Dominican Republic, the 43M was chambered in 9x25mm Mauser Export– good luck finding that on a shelf at Wal-Mart.

Made by Danuvia who also constructed Kiraly’s even more obscure Géppisztoly 39M, just a few thousand of these guns were made before the last days of WWII ended production.
