Birchwood Casey launched the new Nest Rest shooting rest designed for gun owners on the go, the company announced Tuesday.

The Nest Rest offers a durable, lightweight construction that allows for easy transporting to-and-from the range, eliminating the need for heavy sand bags or metal rests.

The design consists of a stackable rear rest and a larger front rest. The large rest measures just over 6-inches tall and is 6-inches wide, while the smaller rest is 4.7-inches tall and 5.5-inches wide. The two rests nest and lock together, saving space and allowing for easier transportation. Additionally, the small rest stacks on top of the larger one, giving an added boost of elevation while shooting.

The device allows for “hands free” holding, permitting shooters to maintenance or clean firearms as well as make scope adjustments prior to shooting.

Made from a soft durable rubber material, the rest serves up a non-slip grip on shooting benches while also preventing marring on the firearm’s finish.

The Nest Rest comes with a price tag of $24.99.
