A disgruntled warehouse worker fired in April fatally shot five people Monday morning before killing himself at his former workplace in Orlando, Florida.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said at a press conference that the 45-year-old suspect armed himself with a knife and handgun and then entered the warehouse of his former employer, Fiamma Inc., which manufactures recreational vehicle accessories, Reuters reported.

One woman and three men were pronounced dead at the scene, while another man died at a local hospital. Seven other people present during the attack escaped the building unharmed.

The attacker reportedly had a history of misdemeanor offenses but has not been linked to any terror groups.

“He was a disgruntled employee that came back to this business this morning,” Demings said. “It appears this incident has nothing to do with any global terror activities.”

Demings indicated the shooter was accused of battering another employee at Fiamma in June 2014 but that no charges were brought as a result of that incident.

The shooting occurred nearly a year after the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016, in which 49 people were killed and at least 58 injured.

“Over the past year, the Orlando community has been challenged like never before,” Florida Governor Rick Scott said in a statement. “I ask all Floridians to pray for the families impacted by this senseless act of violence.”
