Armed robber shot with his own gun (VIDEO)

A 22-year-old man is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds after an attempted robbery Tuesday morning in Columbia, South Carolina, didn’t go as planned.

Joshua Tyler Bradley was shot twice in the leg as he and his would-be victim struggled over Bradley’s gun.

Authorities say Bradley and the victim became engaged in a physical altercation around 2 a.m. after Bradley pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. During the altercation, Bradley hit the victim in the head, but as the struggled continued, Bradley was shot twice in the leg.

Bradley was transported to the hospital where his injuries were deemed non-life threatening.

Bradley now faces charges for first degree assault and battery, attempted armed robbery, and pointing and presenting a firearm. No charges are expected to be filed against the victim.
