Construction workers tie up suspected thief while waiting for police to arrive (VIDEO)

A suspected thief at a Charlotte worksite was caught by construction workers then tied and taped to scaffolding as they waited for police to arrive.

The August 9 incident was captured on cellphone video by local resident Tina Quizon, who said, without the video, nobody would have believed her.

In the video, one of the workers could be heard saying, “I gotta do what I gotta do to hold you.” The worker also noted that the suspect had “no business” in the worker’s truck.

As the Baker Roofing crew secured the suspect with rope and tape, he continuously argued that he was innocent.

An officer showed up a short time later and, after ensuring the suspect did not need medical attention, arrested him and hauled him off to jail.
