Texas food truck robbed at gun point (VIDEO)

KRISTV.com | Continuous News Coverage | Corpus Christi

Authorities in Texas are searching for the suspects responsible for an overnight robbery of a food truck in Corpus Christi on Wednesday.

Two black men, one of whom had his face covered with a bandanna, approached the Mi Terra Food Truck, displayed a gun and forced their way inside the truck while demanding cash. Several employees, as well as a child, were inside the food truck at the time.

The robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Authorities said no one was injured, but the food truck employees did exactly as the suspects instructed them to do.

“That’s what we would ask the public to do anytime they find themselves in a situation like this,” said Lieutenant David Saldana with the Corpus Christi Police Department. “Do what’s asked of you and be safe.”

The suspects remain at large.
