Fight involving pellet gun leads to lockdown at Minnesota high school

Central High School

Three students were arrested following a fight at a St. Paul high school Monday morning that led to a lockdown of the school after multiple weapons were seen.

Authorities say the fight, which started as a verbal confrontation, was a planned event between two students and unfolded in a bathroom at Central High School around 10 a.m.

Police recovered a pellet gun and two knives from the students involved in the incident, but there were no reports of any injuries. The St. Paul Police Department confirmed around 12:30 p.m. that there was no further threat to the school community.

Three students were arrested for the fiasco, which the school did not seem to take lightly.

β€œThere are severe consequences for students who behave this way,” the school district said in statement. β€œAs always, safety remains a top concern for Central High School and every other school within [St. Paul Public Schools].”
