The shooting death of a 26-year-old man earlier this month at a marijuana growing facility in Bishop, Texas, was done in self-defense by two girls he sexually assaulted, local media reports.

Bishop Police Chief Billy Durbin said last week one of the two female juveniles shot Evan Frost with a .22-caliber handgun, but he declined to specify who pulled the trigger and their ages as to protect their identities. He added that his department does not plan on filing charges against the girls for Frost’s death, but other arrests related to growing marijuana are likely to come.

Authorities said responding officers found Frost shot three times — twice in the head and once in the arm — when they responded to the scene on Sept. 7. A search of the home uncovered about four pounds of marijuana as well as materials for growing the plant, such as fertilizer and filtration systems.

Authorities also said the house did not belong to Frost, but it’s unclear who does own it and how the girls got there. The incident remains under investigation by the Bishop Police Department along with the Texas Rangers.
