Gunwerks unveiled the long-awaited GRB bolt action rifle action, allowing custom rifle builders the opportunity to use Gunwerks parts at an affordable price.

The GRB action utilizes a Remington 700 footprint, compatible with most Remington 700 inletted stocks. Impervious to corrosion, the stainless steel body can be left unfinished or coated with a bevy of firearm coatings to include Cerakote. The company’s proprietary Tri-Lock recoil lug delivers the benefits of an integral lug action without breaking the bank.

In addition, the action includes a one-piece, NP3 coated bolt that can be field stripped and comes equipped with a threaded, tactical bolt knob. The bolt design boasts “Borden Style” bumps allowing for proper bolt alignment and lockup with smoother cycling. The GRB uses a proprietary horizontal ejection system to deliver easy yet reliable extraction of cartridges.

Outfitted with the customer’s choice of a one or two piece picatinny base with integrated 20 or 30 MOA, the action ships in either right or left handed, short or long action and standard or magnum bolt faces.

“So many have followed us for years with the dreams of someday owning a Gunwerks rifle. We challenged our engineering team to design an action that could be manufactured and sold as an affordable component without sacrificing the quality and performance we’re known for.” Aaron Davidson, Gunwerks founder and CEO, said in a press release. “What resulted is the GRB action. An action with many features of our top dollar custom action less a few of the most expensive features. Finally a product that makes our legendary design and engineering available in the form of an action platform that anyone can use for their next custom gun build.”

The Gunwerks BRG is currently available through Gunwerks with dealer networks receiving inventory in the coming weeks. The action is priced at $850; however, Gunwerks is running a limited introductory price of $750 for the first 100 actions ordered.
