UTG introduces AR15 Super Slim Rear Sight for fixed sight fans

The AR15 Super Slim Rear Sight by UTG returns rifle shooters back to the days of fixed sights offering a design the company says is both durable and practical.

Forgoing bulky optics and features, the Super Slim Rear Sight touts a compact, lightweight design. Standing 1.8-inches in height, the fixed sight features a length of 2.4-inches and width measuring 1.3-inches. Tipping scales at 3.5-ounces, the sight borrows from a traditional M16A2 rear sight design.

UTG constructed the sight with windage and elevation adjustments, giving shooters the ability to dial in shots. The sight also offers two aperture sizes for close quarter and long range shooting with no tools required to make adjustments.

Precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, the fixed sight provides a wear resistant matte finish. UTG says the sight’s construction and finish pair to provide durability in the field. Boasting a low profile single locking Torx screw and integral square-shaped recoil stops, the Super Slim Rear Sight mounts to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails.

“UTG has not forgotten the importance of the fixed iron sight so they decided to perfect it and reintroduce it under their celebrated Super Slim line,” the company said in a press release. “The UTG Super Slim Rear Sight is your solution for a secure zero hold and return to zero on MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails.”

The UTG Super Slim Rear Sight is available from parent company Leapers with a price tag of $34.97.
