Dark Storm Industries launched a new variant on its DS-15 Hunter platform, introducing standard, fixed magazine and featureless models in .300 Blackout.

The new Hunter also enjoys a fresh new custom hydro-dipped finish flaunting Next G2 Camo. The rifle utilizes Dark Storm’s DS-15 billet 7075 aluminum lower receiver paired with a DSI forged upper. The upper touts a forward assist in addition to an ejection port cover.

Rounding out the accoutrements, Dark Storm equips the rifle with a 90-degree safety selector, M16 bolt carrier group, steel micro gas block and Ultralight Narrow Profile M-LOK 12-inch forearm.

Available in three models, the Standard Hunter boasts a Magpul MOE stock paired with Hogue pistol grip and 30-round mag. The Fixed Mag Hunter variant employs DSI’s FX series lower to deliver a non-detachable Magpul PMAG, 10-rounder. Topping off the Hunter’s variety is the Featureless Hunter which showcases a detachable Magpul PMAG 10-round magazine, Magpul MOE stock and Spur Grip.

“The Hunter is our first Special Edition designed specifically for those individuals that are looking for an AR style hunting rifle with a Camo finish,” Ed Newman, co-founder and owner of Dark Storm Industries said in a press release. “This DS-15 Hunter is also incredibly light weight at 6-pounds, 15-ounces, including the magazine. Extremely accurate and very portable, we are looking forward to offering our customers a variety of calibers under the new Hunter line within the next few months.”

The 37-inch Hunter rifle platform delivers a MSRP of $1,095.
