More information on Streak non-flammable tracer ammo (VIDEOS)

Ammo Incorporated, which announced their new Streak Visual Ammunition earlier this month, has some performance videos of the non-incendiary round in action both with the lights off and on.

As reported previously, while most conventional tracers utilize incendiaries to provide a visual element to shooting, the Streak ammo utilizes a non-flammable phosphor material for illumination. Ammo, Inc. says the light emitted produces a glow shooters can visually track within a 30-degree viewing area to see the red or green ammo’s path. The phosphor material is only applied to the rear of the projectile and does not generate heat, making the ammunition safer to use in situations where traditional tracers aren’t practical such as indoors.

The ammo is currently availible, offered in 9mm, .40S&W and .45ACP at a price ranging from $13 to $18 per 20-round box.
