Viridian delivers weapon-mounted lasers for the newly released Ruger EC9s pistol series, announcing compatibility with the E-Series and Reactor lasers.

The Viridian E-Series laser and Reactor are tailor made to work alongside Ruger’s EC9s as well as the LC9, LC9s and LC380.

The Essential Series, or E-Series, offers a red laser sight design Viridian says is one of the most powerful red lasers allowed in the U.S. The E-Series provides rapid target acquisition with a six hour battery life. The Reactor R5 delivers a green laser set-up Viridian says is up to 50 times brighter than red lasers.  Shipping with a microfiber IWB holster outfitted with Viridian’s Instant-On technology, the holster activates the laser when the gun is drawn.

Ruger announced the new EC9s self-defense pistol in mid-December. The EC9s, chambered in 9mm, boasts a seven-round capacity design that is slightly bigger than company’s LCP series. Tipping scales at 17-ounces unloaded and with a 3-inch barrel, the new pistol offers a compact and lightweight concealed carry option.

“We take pride in giving customers instant access to Viridian sighting solutions when popular firearms are introduced,” Viridian President and CEO Brian Hedeen said in a press release. “If someone buys a new Ruger EC9s today, they can also pick up one of our E-Series or Reactor lasers. When paired together, the EC9s and Viridian laser will give customers an unbeatable and affordable defensive combo.”

Ruger’s EC9s debuts for $299 while Viridian’s laser sights start around $130.
