Zev Technologies and Ed Brown Products team up to create a new 1911 that meshes the 1911 feel with popular polymer pistol options.

The Zev 1911, available for order later this year, takes Zev style and splashes it on a 1911 frame. Based on the company’s popular Dragonfly design, the 1911, chambered in 9mm, features an aggressive style and dimpled barrel.

The top of the slide offers seven-top slide cuts in addition to a Trijicon RMR sight and tall night sights. The integral rail frame is equipped with accents on the rail while the frontstrap enjoys a little FX1 Snakeskin. The Zev 1911 is outfitted with a threaded suppressor ready barrel and ZEV thread protector.

“Zev is thrilled to be a part of this exciting project. The 1911 has a rich history that we simply could not ignore, Ed Brown Products have mastered the 1911 so it seemed to be a perfect fit and we are looking forward to more projects in the future,” Dave Roberts, VP Marketing and business development for ZEV Technologies said in a statement.

As with all Ed Brown 1911s, the Zev flavor is hand-fit with fully machined parts and is backed by the company’s lifetime warranty.
