Wolf Precision promises customers it can build a rifle in just 15 minutes, thanks to its patented two-piece chamber-cylinder system company’s president Jamie Dodson calls “one-of-a-kind.”

“The technique we are using has never been done before,” he said earlier this month while managing a stand at the 2018 Great American Outdoor Show. “We actually manufacture the chamber and the barrel. There’s no gunsmithing required.”

Dodson said making the two pieces separately eliminates the “crooked throat” issue seen with traditional chambering, “correcting in essence, the negative effects of the curvature of the bore.”

“So this process that we are doing is about accuracy and to date we’ve built prototypes for one of the largest firearm manufacturers,” he said. “We’re getting ready to build more prototypes for law enforcement, government entities.”

Dodson, a decorated competition shooter, founded Wolf Precision in Johnstown, Pennsylvania more than 12 years ago. He says business has weathered the political firestorm surrounding modern sporting rifles well and sees a bright future ahead.

“A lot of people in the industry know what we are doing and know why, so now it’s just the application,” he said.

Wolf Precision also offers long range shooting classes for small groups. Dodson said he’s trained everyone from Homeland Security agents to law enforcement officers from New York City and the Pennsylvania State Police.

“You’re going to get about seven years experience in three days,” he said. “No more than seven shooters to a class. So it’s low quantity, high quality.”

Classes range from $995 to $1,490. For more information, click here.
