Streamlight’s USB flashlight series gets a new addition in the way of the ProTac HL 5-X USB rechargeable system.

Serving up 3,500 lumens, the ProTac HL 5-X USB ships with two Streamlight 18650 lithium ion batteries featuring an integrated micro USB charging port and charging cord. Equipped with three selectable programs, the multi-fuel flashlight allows users to charge the light on the go or, alternatively, insert CR123A lithium batteries.

The light utilizes LED technology to output 3,500 lumens on high with the USB capable batteries and 2,500 lumens with CR123A batteries. The ProTac HL 5-X USB offers users a TEN-TAP programmable switch with the option to switch among three programs — high/strobe/low, high only or low/medium/high.

Dineen, said in a press release. “The ideal hand-held flood light, the ProTac HL 5-X USB lets you see what is all around you, including hard-to-reach perimeters and corners.”

Measuring 9.53-inches in length and weighing around 1 pound, the light is IPX7-rated for waterproof operation up to one meter for 30 minutes. The new ProTac HL 5-X USB retails for $175.
