Among the new products on display for 2018, Big Green had a 5.5-pound threaded camo rifle and an aluminum framed officer-sized 1911.

Remington’s booth at the 147th National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Dallas last week was packed with product but a few new and intresting items popped out. Among them was the 1911 R1 Ultralight Executive, a 3.5-inch match barreled .45ACP complete with tritium night sights and a weight about a third lighter than a comparably-sized steel gun.

MSRP is $1250.

In rifle offerings, Remington had their new Model Seven Threaded on display. Shorter than a comparable Model 700 by a bit more than 2-inches overall, the downright trim carbine– the lightest in the company’s line of bolt-action centerfires– has a 16.5-inch threaded barrel and is billed as being ideal for brush hunting or for use by those with smaller statures.

Decked out in bright Kuiu Vias scheme camo, the Model Seven Threaded is offered in .300 AAC Blackout and .308 Win and comes standard with Remington’s X-Mark Pro adjustable trigger.

Retail is $795.
