Just Jerry Miculek zapping random watermelon with assorted flavors of Mossberg Shockwave (VIDEO)

The distinguished gentleman of competition shooting has a brace of Mossy’s Shockwave “firearms” (they aren’t technically shotguns) with a variety of aftermarket mods and gives them a serious workout.

Using all three chamberings available from Mossberg on these Texas-made scatterguns– 12 ga, 20 ga and .410 bore– Jerry tests out the effect of buckshot, birdshot, and a slug loads on the melon medium in slo-mo.

It’s good stuff no matter who you slice it unless you are a fan of actually eating watermelon, in which case this video could be a bummer for you.

And here is a look at the current Mossberg Shockwave factory line-up:

The .410 bore offering is the latest in Mossberg's 590 Shockwave series, and is a pound lighter than the 12 gauge paterfamilias of the family tree (Photos: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
