Nosler announced a new bolt-action handgun joined its inventory of firearms, introducing the Model 48 Nosler Custom Handgun earlier this week.

The M48 NCH is touted as the “ultimate precision bolt-action handgun.” Constructed from one-piece, billet aluminum stock, the mid-grip stock offers a rigid platform for the fully free-floated Shilen, 416 R stainless steel heavy contour barrel. The barrel is threaded at the muzzle and a thread protector ships alongside the rifle. Nosler says standard barrel size measures 15-inches; however, shorter or longer lengths between 12-inches and 18-inches are available upon request.

“Designed from the ground up by the engineers at Nosler with input from some of the most successful handgun hunters alive today, the M48 NCH is the answer to handgun hunters’ dreams. Each NCH is machined and built from U.S.-made parts by the accomplished gunsmiths at the Nosler Rifle division in Bend, Oregon,” Nosler said in a statement.

The rifle is built on the Model 48 short action, boasting similar features. Available in an array of short action calibers, the M48 NCH is best-suited for varmint hunting and silhouette shooting in addition to big game hunting.

Offering an overall length of 21-inches, the NCH weighs 5.4-pounds sans optics, mounts or accessories. Shipping in .22 Nosler, .24 Nosler, 7mm-08 Rem Mag, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308, the NCH comes in a variety of standard colors in addition to Cerakote colors for greater personalization.

The M48 by Nosler is available with a price tag of $2,495.
