Aimpoint is set to release an all new line of red dot sights, announcing the Aimpoint ACRO Series.

The Advance Compact Reflex Optic Series, or ACRO, utilizes a small sight design with electronic red-dot sight. Developed for pistols in particular, the ACRO P-1 is an enclosed system with a durable build that Aimpoint says can withstand tough conditions.

Created at the behest of pistol shooters looking for a small red dot to fit on handguns, the ACRO P-1 measures 1.9-inches with a width of 1.2-inches and weight of 2.1-ounces. Featuring a 1X, non-magnifying, parallax-free optic, the ACRO offers a 3.5 minuted of angle red dot that is fully submersible up to 25 meters. Using a single CR1225 battery, the red dot provides continuous operation for over a year.

Tested with a minimum of 20,000 rounds alongside a .40 caliber pistol slide, the ACRO offers a reliable yet rugged red dot, according to Aimpoint.

“The development of the ACRO P-1 sight sets a new standard for compact pistol mounted reflex optics,” Aimpoint AB President Lennart Ljungfelt said in a news release. “The commitment we make to our customers is to develop the highest performing red-dot sights available. The ACRO P-1 optics fulfills that commitment by providing the lightest and most rugged enclosed red-dot sight in its size category on the market.”

Though the ACRO P-1 was designed for pistols, it can also be used as a backup sight for magnifying scopes, personal defense weapons and any system that supports a red dot.
