Meopta USA is back with a new addition to its riflescope lineup, introducing the MeoStar R2 2.5-15×56 RD Riflescope.

The latest scope to hit consumers from Meopta USA, the 30mm MeoStar R2 boasts a 6x variable magnification range, wide field of view and MeoLux advanced lens coating. The MeoLux, paired with Schott glass, grants 99.8-percent light transmission per lens surface, Meopta says, permitting hunters to ultimately hunt for longer.

The MeoStar R2 comes with the option of four illuminated reticles — 4C-RD, 4K-RD, BDC 2 and BDC 3. Each model is parallax free to 100 yards and touts the company’s MeoDrop hydrophobic lens coating. The coating works to repel rain, snow, skin oils and dirt/grime.

“The MeoStar R2 line of riflescopes is built for hunters who demand the highest optical performance,” Randy Garrison, Director of Meopta USA Sport Optics, said in a news release. “Meopta’s advanced MeoLux lens coating is optimized for twilight performance which helps hunters see better and make accurate shots in the most challenging light.”

Available in five total models — 1-6×24 RD, 1.7-10×42 RD, 2-12×50 RD, 2.5-15×56 RD and 8×56 RD — the MeoStar R2 riflescopes deliver eight levels of reticle intensity. Shipping now, the MeoStar R2 riflescope series retails for $1,599.
