Marines on the care, feeding of 'Ma Deuce' (VIDEO)
John Browning’s classic M2 .50 caliber machine gun has been around for decades but if you have never gone to strip one, you are in for a treat.
As exhibited in the above video by the Marines, there are a host of tricks to keep in mind when clearing and disassembling the big HMG. Designed at the tail end of World War I and first put into production in the interwar period, the M2 has been a staple in Western militaries ever since.

The design was so successful that the Army recently came across an early model with a three-digit serial number that was still in working condition although it was pushing 90-years of age.
The funny thing about the above video is that it doesn’t show the reassembly process, which can be a little…aggravating at times
