Remington, SIXSITE collaborate on custom shop Model 700 rifle (VIDEO)

“I had a sneaky suspicion it would shoot well,” says former Navy SEAL sniper Jeff Wobig, after nailing a plate at 1,000 yards with the hand-built rifle in the above video.

The SIXSITE edition Model 700, crafted by the Remington’s Custom Shop in Sturgis, South Dakota, leaves a lot up to the customer to decide. Options like barrel length– standard or custom– and caliber– including short action, long action, mag, and ultra mag– are all on the table.

“We’re proud to collaborate with Remington Custom Shop to build one of the most versatile hunting rifles on the market,” said SIXSITE’s founder, Stephen Holley, a Navy SEAL veteran.

The 700 SIXSITE is built to exact specs with a blueprinted stainless 700 action complemented with a premium stainless barrel in the caliber, barrel length, and sleeve of the buyer’s choice. The A.G. Composites carbon fiber stock weighs 27-ounces. (Photo: Remington Custom Shop)

Billed as a fully-adjustable, well-rounded package the SIXSITE M700 is built with a stainless 700 action fully bedded using Marine Tex to an A.G. Composites carbon fiber stock. Standard, the model comes with a threaded muzzle and thread protector, Badger Ordnance 20 MOA scope rail, Remington custom 40X trigger, and bipod adapter.

The whole deal is wrapped in a custom hand-painted cerakote paint job in either SIXSITE’s RANA camouflage pattern or grey scheme, the former “developed to blend organic textures and digital elements,” according to Remington.

Retail is $3,295.
