Germany’s oldest gunmaker, J.P. Sauer & Sohn, has announced its S100 Pantera rifle will now get the 6.5 Creedmoor treatment. The company announced the compact precision rifle will join the Creedmoor craze offering the 6.5 Creedmoor chambering to long-range shooting enthusiasts.

Distributed by Blaser USA, the S100 Pantera features a heavy fluted, cold hammer-forged 20-inch barrel paired with a smooth action bolt and user-adjustable single-stage trigger. The S100 Pantera uses an adjustable cheek piece on the stock paired with a recoil pad to allow shooters to adjust the rifle sideways and in height. The design is aimed at making the platform more comfortable for a variety of shooter body styles. The rifle also boasts a sculpted pistol grip granting a more natural shooting position for long range shooting.

The rifle includes a three-position safety and laminate wood stock. The Pantera sports a Cerakote coating on the barrel surface and action in addition to a “ultra-rugged special coating” which protects the laminate wood stock.

“These rifles are designed for accuracy, delivering a guaranteed five-shot sub-MOA performance,” the company said in a press release. The 6.5 Creedmoor offering joins the Pantera lineup which already delivers .223 Rem, .243 Win, .308 Win, 30-06 Springfield and .300 Win Mag models. Sauer said the 6.5 Creedmoor won’t be the last caliber to join the S100 Pantera series, with the 6.5 PRC to follow shortly. The S100 Pantera in 6.5 Creedmoor retails for $1,599.
