Otis releases gun cleaning kits geared towards law enforcement

Otis is catering to its law enforcement customers with a slew of new cleaning kits specifically tailored to the men and women in blue.

Available to law enforcement distributors and resellers in addition to law enforcement professionals, the new LE product line offers a range of products designed to meet the needs of officers at various price points. Otis says a portion of sales from the LE centered kits will be donated to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

“We are dedicated to supporting the men and women in blue that put their lives on the line every day. We’ve developed a robust line of products to meet their specific needs and help them ensure the gear that their lives depend on is well taken care of,” Brad McIntyre, Vice President of Government & International Sales, said in a news release.

Starting the lineup is the Thin Blue Line Ripcord Kits delivering a Ripcord and corresponding bore brush as well as a slotted tip and patches. The kit comes in a lightweight snap soft shell case and is available in single and dual caliber configurations. The Thin Blue Line Ripcord Kits are priced around the $20 mark.

The Essential Cleaning Kits come in three styles — rifle, shotgun and pistol — and include the basic Otis Breech-to-Muzzle cleaning gear in addition to a T-Handle Tool/bit driver. Prices start at $19.99.

The LE Rifle/Pistol Cleaning Kit provides essential maintenance gear for officer needed to maintain 5.56 and 7.62 rifles as well as 9mm, .40 and .45 pistols. The kit comes with a variety of tools to clean and retails for $27.99.

Police/Tactical Handgun Cleaning Kits are specifically created for officers’ duty handguns. Available in 9mm, .40 S&W and .40 ACP, the kits deliver a Ripcord and solid brass cleaning rod with swivel handle with attachments. The kit takes it up a notch also offering personal protective gear like gloves and lead remover hand wipes. The Police/Tactical Handgun Cleaning Kits are priced at $69.99.

The Lawman Series Cleaning Kits include three different means to clean rifles to include: Breech-to-Muzzle cleaning with Memory-Flex cables, Ripcord or sectional solid rods. The kit also comes equipped with a T-Handle Tool/bit driver and is available in single or dual caliber configurations. The Lawman features a price-tag starting at $69.99.

Rounding out the series is the Ultimate Law Enforcement Cleaning Kit. The most comprehensive of in the new LE lineup, the Ultimate Law Enforcement Cleaning Kit boasts the ability to tackle dirt and grime on 5.56mm and 7.62mm rifles, 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP and 12-gauge shotguns. The kit offers Ripcord, solid rod sections, Breech-to-Muzzle cleaning gear, AR cleaning tools in addition to precision cleaning tools and optics cleaning gear. The mother of all the kits, the Ultimate Law Enforcement Cleaning Kit retails for $129.99.
