Remington’s Model 700 Custom North American and Model 700 Custom Sendero are getting the 300 PRC treatment, as Remington’s Custom Shop announced the Custom 700’s will be offered in Hornady’s new caliber.

The Custom 700 features a premium button rifled and hand lapped barrel paired to traditional stocks with a full-length hand laid epoxy bedding. Remington says the rifles are guaranteed 1-inch MOA when shooting premium ammunition.

Remington’s Custom Shop provides shooters the choice of stocks and barreled actions offering Manners, McMillan, HS Precision or any other chassis of choice matched to either a chromoly or stainless steel action. Additional options for the rifles include fluting, threaded barrel, muzzle brake, side bolt release, custom cerakote, detachable magazines and oversized bolt knobs.

Hornady’s 300 PRC cartridge was approved by the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute in August 2018 alongside Hornady’s other new cartridge, the 6.5 PRC.

“The primary focus of the design of both the 6.5 PRC and the 300 PRC has always been long-range precision shooting,” Joe Thielen, Hornady’s Assistant Director of Engineering, said in a news release. “These cartridges and their respective chamber designs were carefully engineered to efficiently use today’s low-drag projectiles coupled with modern propellants that provide shooters with the capability to hit targets at ever increasing distances.”

The 700 Custom North American is available through Remington’s Custom Shop with a starting price of $1,995 while the 700 Custom Sendero starts at $2,495.
