A further look at the new Glock 45 9mm (VIDEOS)

The new Gen 5 Glock 45 has been in circulating for about a month and has worked its way into the hands of many. Here’s what some of them thought about it.

Introduced in September, the G45 uses Glock’s Marksman Barrel, improved trigger, ambi controls, a modular backstrap system and flared magwell– all standard to Gen 5 models– while adding front cocking serrations to the slide. It is based on the crossover G19X concept, which blends the full-size frame of the G17 with the smaller slide assembly of the G19 to create a more commander-sized handgun.

And if you have 20-minutes to spare, Tim Harmsen with the Military Arms Channel weighs in on the incremental changes to the line that are present in the G45. And don’t even get him started on the naming convention used by Glock.
