The Ruger LCR is getting a new grip with the Pachmayr GuardianGrip featuring a finger extension.

The GuardianGrip’s spring-loaded finger extension drops down out of the grip to give shooters more purchase on the revolver. The company says the unique grip offers users a three-finger grip on a two-finger gun.

“With the simple press of a button, the spring-loaded finger extension drops down out of the grip, converting a two-finger compact grip into a controllable three-finger grip,” the company said in a news release. “This is the first grip which offers the concealment of a compact grip with the shooting control of a full-size grip.”

Using a high strength polymer material, the GuardianGrip resists moisture, weather and chemicals. The grip itself is also ergonomically shaped for compatibility with speed loaders. The GuardGrip delivers an open backstrap designed for concealment as well as textured panels allowing for better control over the LCR.

The GuardianGrip for the Ruger LCR is available through Lyman with a price tag just under $50.
