Rock River Arms debuts a new model into its RRAGE 5.56mm carbine series, introducing Veil Camo variants. The first model to boast Veil Camo patterns, the RRAGE uses the Veil Camo designs to offer consumers a better concealed rifle, according to Rock River Arms.

“Veil Camo is a premium concealment platform that stands apart for its unique approach to camouflage solutions for tactical and hunting applications,” Rock River Arms said in a news release. “All Veil Camo designs are based on fractal mathematics, taking into account human and animal visual perception biases and combining them with both macro and micro visual disruption patterns and carefully selected color pallets. The result is a scientifically-based concealment strategy that is proven to be effective across varied light and environmental conditions for both human and animal test subjects.”

The initial patterns will include Tac-Black and Alpine. Tac-Black is a design best suited for low-light conditions in urban and rural settings. Alpine is a high-contrast pattern that allows for better concealment in open, rocky and edge-cover outdoor areas.

The RRAGE burst onto the scene mid-summer bringing a cost-effective 5.56/.223 rifle to consumers. Constructed to offer a smooth look and feel, the RRAGE uses an extruded aluminum flat top upper receiver with port door. Featuring a 16-inch barrel with 1:9 twist, the RRAGE sports other attributes such as a RRA Six-Position Tactical CAR, A2 pistol grip and single-stage trigger. Measuring 36-inches with stock extended, the RRAGE weighs 5.7-pounds.

The RRAGE carbine ships with one 30-round RRA Poly Magazine and user manual. The rifle’s starting price is $759.
