Created around the 429 DE cartridge, Magnum Research introduces a new pistol — the 429 DE Mark XIX — as well as accessories catering to the new cartridge.
Featuring a stainless steel slide and frame, the pistol brings a 6-inch stainless steel barrel paired with an integral muzzle brake. The pistol’s frame is equipped with a Picatinny bottom rail to mount accessories. The 429 DE Mark XIX ships with a .50 AE seven-round magazine and features a MSRP of $2,143.
In addition to offering a new pistol, the company also introduces accessories into its lineup. The 429 DE Mark XIX spare barrels come with Picatinny style accessory rails in a variety of finishes. Barrels measure 6 inches and boast compatibility with any MK19 USA or Israel Desert Eagle Pistol with a wide .830-inch rail on top of the barrel. The barrel pairs with .50 AE mags and bolts. The barrels come in the shooter’s choice of carbon steel with black, burnt bronze, brushed chrome or polished chrome finish with prices between $425 and $529. Consumers can also opt for a stainless steel design with integral muzzle brake for $482.
Magnum Research also provides 429 DE ammunition with rounds available in boxes of 20. Shipping in either 240 grain soft point for $42 or 210 grain hollow point for $42, ammo can be nabbed exclusively through Magnum Research. Magnum research said the 429 DE owes its design to the .50 AE cartridge.
“Based on the famous .50 AE cartridge, the 429 DE is made with Starline brass, loaded by HSM in Montana with Sierra bullets and distributed by Magnum Research, Inc,” the company said in a press release. “This cartridge has a 25-percent velocity increase and 45-percent energy increase over a 44 Mag (240 — 6-inch barrel).”
The 429 DE Mark XIX offerings are available through Magnum Research.
