A Detriot woman on her way to church was confronted by a man who grabbed her as she was headed out the door in an incident that ended with a defensive gun use.

Detriot Police responded to the call, now classified as a justifiable homicide, at the 9000 block of Mark Twain at 10:40 a.m. Sunday. There, local media reports the woman, who was in the company of her 29-year-old daughter, was grabbed by an unidentified man who followed the women back into the house.

Once inside the residence, the man refused to leave and the homeowner, who had retrieved a gun, shot him twice in the chest, fatally.

Also in the home was a 75-year-old woman.
