Glock hands over $25K check to Scholastic Action Shooting Program

Glock donates funds to youth competition shooters, handing over $25,000 to the Scholastic Action Shooting Program to help fund youth shooting initiatives.

The check was delivered at the 2018 SASP National’s Competition held at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio. A founding sponsor of SASP, Glock said it’s happy to continue to support SASP’s mission to elevate the sport of youth shooting.

“Glock has been an active sponsor/partner of the SASP program since the beginning,” Ed Fitzgerald, Glock Advertising Manager and Vice Chairman of the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation Board of Directors, said in a press release. “Glock believes strongly that the attributes of responsibility, teamwork, integrity and discipline learned by youth shooters are the ingredients to the development of our next generation of responsible citizens.”

SASP National Director Rick Leach in addition to SASP team competitor accepted the check from Glock stating that the organization is grateful to have the sponsor invested in its program.

“We are so grateful to have Glock as an integral part of the past, present, and future of the SASP program,” said Leach. “Glock is a great brand and a great company with leadership and employees dedicated to the development of the next generation of shooting sports enthusiasts. SASP is a youth development program managed by the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation. The non-profit uses adult coaches and volunteers to demonstrate sportsmanship, responsibility, honesty, ethics, ethics, teamwork and integrity to youngsters through the shooting sports.
