Cody, Wyoming’s Gunwerks this week lifted the curtain on their new ThumpR bolt action rifle package. The ThumpR, which the company says will be produced in limited quantities, is designed with smaller-framed users in mind but can be easily swapped out to different configurations.

The “easy” part of such a swap comes from the fact that the rifle ships with a pair of interchangeable stock options– one ultralight carbon fiber and the second a short length of pull fiberglass– as well as two interchangeable bottom metal options to allow for either a traditional hinged floorplate or use of a tactical mag.

Using a titanium GLR action short-action in popular 6mm Creedmoor with a 16.5-inch carbon fiber wrapped barrel, the rifle comes standard with a Nightforce ATACR F2 4-16x50mm scope. All-up weight is 8.4-pounds while the length is just 36-inches overall, making the gun about as long as an M1 Carbine.

The 16.5-inch carbon fiber-wrapped barrel is suppressor-ready with 5/8x24TPI threads and a protective thread cap

The ThumpR also ships with a waterproof travel hard case with custom cut foam. The MSRP is (wait for it) $11,302. While the price seems a little unrealistic, keep in mind the gun is essentially four builds in one package between all the interchangeable stock and bottom metal options that are standard in the set and includes a NF optics that run well north of $2K by themselves all day, so there’s that.
