Kimber brings new striker-fired EVO pistols, Micro-9s to SHOT Show (VIDEOS)
Kimber, best known for their 1911-style pistols, showed up in Las Vegas this month with several new handgun models that were anything but. The most interesting addition to their pistol line was the EVO series of subcompact striker-fired 9mm handguns.
Featuring front and rear cocking serrations, front strap checkering, as well as G10 grips and backstraps, the EVO line come standard with an FNC finished stainless steel slide. They are all-metal construction with a 6- to 7-pound leaf safety trigger and ledged tritium night sights.

Small guns, they only go 6.10-inches overall while featuring 3.16-inch barrels. Each of the 19-ounce guns ship with two seven-round magazines. The four models — EVO SP Custom Shop, CDP, TLE, and Two-Tone range from $856 to $1047 MSRP.
New Micro 9 models
A trio of new entries to Kimber’s new Micro 9 group of ultra-compact hammer-fired pistols was on display. The 1911-like Micro 9s are a series of single-action seven-shot handguns chambered in 9mm that the Yonkers, New York-based company have been expanding over the past few years to number over a dozen offerings. The pistol’s 3.15-inch barrel produces an overall length of 6.1-inches. The three newest models include two Exposed Slide Variant pistols and a KHX model.
The new Kimber Micro 9 ESV in black and grey
Both ESV’s use ported slides, tritium night sights, diagonal ball mill slide serrations, black G10 grips, and a 30LPI checkered front strap and mainspring housing. Weight, empty, is 15.35-ounces, kept light with an aluminum frame. MSRP ranges from $799 to $815.
