Taurus’ latest pistol, the .22LR chambered TX22, is officially on its way to consumers, shipping out to dealers nationwide.

The Taurus TX22 is a single-action only striker-fire system with a 16+1 capacity. The pistol boasts a full-size polymer handgun designed to maximize comfort for shooters while a proprietary grip texturing encourages correct hand placement. The TX22 adds a fully adjustable rear sight to its design alongside a reversible mag release. The system is topped off with suppressor-ready muzzle threading and a 5-pound trigger pull.

The TX22 tips scales at 17.3-ounces and measures 7.06-inches in total length. Sporting a barrel length of 4.10-inches, the TX22 stands 5.44-inches tall.

“The new Taurus TX22 design satisfies the needs of shooters of all sizes and experience levels without compromising in any area. It is the perfect training handgun for beginners and those who have developed flinching habits,” Taurus said in a news release. “With its gentle recoil, crisp trigger and quick target acquisition, new shooters will enjoy immediate results.”

The TX22 does offer a 10-round model for those living in restrictive states. The TX22 is shipping now with an MSRP of $349.
