Alchemy Custom Weaponry launches a new model 1911 designed by master gunsmith Rob Schauland, known as the Prime Elite.

The .45 ACP chambered Prime Elite delivers a high-end look with custom features, according to Alchemy Custom Weaponry. The 1911 uses a new ACW extended magwell, reverse crown barrel, gold bead front sight and hostage rescue team slide stop.

On the looks front, the 1911 pistol features wood checkered grips which come standard but smooth figured Walnut, Ironwood, American Holly and Ebony grips are available as upgrades. The 1911 uses a forged 4140 frame and slide with hand polished blued finish.

Delivering a hand-fit match grade 5-inch barrel, the Prime Elite also boasts the ACW high grip modification with custom “Carry Comfort” front strap checkering. The checkering is designed to create a smoother edge for concealed carry. The Prime Elite sports a medium length, smooth face trigger with a pull weight hovering around 3.5-pounds.

“The Prime Elite is the highest quality and most accurate 1911 available in its price range. ACW offers an accuracy guarantee of 1.5 inches at 25 yards,” Alchemy Custom Weaponry said in a news release. “The ACW 1911s are loaded with special features and custom designed enhancements directly from founder Rob Schauland.”

The Prime Elite ships with two 8-round magazines and an MSRP of $2,999.
