Following in the footsteps of the Italian company’s 680 and 690 series shotguns is the new Beretta 694, featuring a host of new features to appeal to competitive shooters.

Designed in conjunction with the Beretta Shooting Team, the 694 is a dedicated over and under made to dust clays and win medals. Featuring a new receiver design as well as new ergos on the pistol grip, the double 12 also has a redesigned steel forend with an adjustable lower profile opening lever. The trigger group has a three-position adjustable trigger while the action includes a new extraction system. Standard features inherited from Beretta’s legacy shotgun line are Steelium Plus barrels with Optima High-Performance chokes.

The newly designed, steel action 694 has side panels with a mirrored profile and diagonal lines underlined by a blue graphic design on the company's Nistan finish. Beretta says the shotgun has a "slim, modern design" that lends "a racing feel, for a bold, winning look." (Photo: Beretta)

The grade 2.5+ stock is available with 35/50 mm or 35/55mm drops, the latter with B-Fast adjustable heel or Schnabel forend. Length-of-pull is 14.75-inches with an 18 mm MicroCore recoil pad. The barrels can be counter-weighted via five slots in the muzzle and under the forend to tune the user’s balance.

The 694 will be available in the U.S. in both a 30- and 32-inch variants, with or without B-Fast adjustable stocks. MSRP is set at around $4,500.
