Savage Arms adds a snazzy model to its popular youth-sized Rascal series, announcing the new Rascal Minimalist.
The Rascal Minimalist opts for a similar build as the original Rascal, but brings bold colors to its laminate stock with pink/purple or teal/gray options.

“The laminate stock and bright color combinations of Rascal Minimalist make this a stylish rifle,” Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing for Savage, said in a release. “And it demonstrates, again, Savage’s commitment to providing the very best tools to every shooter—even those who are just learning to shoot.”

Chambered in .22 S/L/LR, the Minimalist offers a 16.125-inch carbon steel matte black barrel with 1/2x28mm threads, for a little extra fun if you happen to have a suppressor lying around. The single-shot action rifle comes with a manual safety and Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger.

The rimfire Rascal series has been a popular choice for youth shooters for its compact size and easy wielding. The Rascal Minimalist continues the lineup's goal of introducing kids to the shooting sports by teaching marksmanship and safety.

The Rascal Minimalist is set to start shipping in August with an MSRP of $279.
