A limited-edition .45 ACP with a distinctive two-tone finish and lots of features, the new Sig Sauer Custom Works 1911 Equinox is headed to dealers.

Featuring a black-anodized stainless-steel frame, the GI-sized 1911 has a custom-machined slide that is stainless steel and Nitron treated to produce the subtle two-tone effect. Specs are standard for the design, running a 5-inch carbon-steel barrel that gives it an 8.7-inch overall length. The weight on the gun is 41 ounces unloaded.

Just 500 of these guns will be made, and it's the first time an Equinox-series 1911 has been available from Sig.
